Ngo founded in 1977 in Argentina in order to recover the stolen children by the military dictatorship and return them to their legitimate families.

The jury decided to award the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Peace Prize to the NGOs Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo)  for their relentless effort ,one year after the coup of March 1976 in order to recover the stolen children by the military dictatorship and return them to their legitimate families.
