HANDING OVER WITHIN THE AFRICAN GROUP

The Group of African Delegations to UNESCO, commonly known as the "African Group", met on Tuesday, 31 January 2017.
During this meeting, and among other topics discussed, the previous office's review and the election of the new office were held.
The outgoing Chairperson, on behalf of the previous Bureau, wished the new team good luck, as the Zimbabwean Ambassador would chair in 2017.
Côte d'Ivoire has been renewed as Treasurer of the Group, whose record presented brilliantly by Her Excellency the Ambassador, Permanent Delegate of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire to UNESCO, Mrs. Denise HOUPHOUET-BOIGNY , has given rise to a renewed confidence by the Assembly.
The meeting ended with a friendly cocktail organized by the Permanent Delegation of Côte d'Ivoire to UNESCO.
