On Tuesday, October 22, 2024, H.E. Mrs. Bakayoko-Ly Ramata, Ambassador and Permanent Delegate of Côte d'Ivoire to UNESCO, participated online in the opening ceremony of the international conference on "Prospective and Development in Africa," organized by the UNESCO Chair "Anticipation, Prospective, and Sustainable Territories" (CUAPTD) at the University of Bouaké.
In her speech, she highlighted the importance of prospective studies for the development of the African continent. In this regard, she praised the vitality of the UNESCO Chair "Anticipation, Prospective, and Sustainable Territories," which, in just two years of existence, has established itself as a key framework for the formulation and evaluation of public policies. Through this conference, CUAPTD at Alassane OUATTARA University contributes to the collective reflection on the future of Africa.
Furthermore, she urged the Chairholder of CUAPTD to work towards integrating the Chair into the UNITWIN/UNESCO Network, in order to strengthen its institutional, pedagogical, and scientific capacities to ensure its prominence at both national and international levels.
