Excellency Madam Director-General,

It is a great honor for me to present to Your Excellency the credentials which accredit me to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as Permanent Delegate of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire.

His Excellency Alassane Ouattara, President of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, who has kindly entrusted me with this important responsibility, has asked me to convey to you his high esteem and consideration.
He sends you his warmest congratulations on your brilliant re-election, which bears witness to the excellent work you accomplished during your first term.
Your Excellency, you have succeeded in strengthening international cooperation in the fields of education, science, culture and information, despite a context dominated by the coronavirus pandemic.
The President of the Republic assures you of his commitment to working to develop the relations of friendship and cooperation that exist between Côte d'Ivoire and UNESCO.

These relations, which date back six decades, have made it possible to perpetuate a prize for world peace, named after our nation's first President, the late H.E. Félix Houphouët-Boigny, for his commitment to peace and dialogue between civilizations and cultures.
I would like, Your Excellency, to salute your fight for inclusive education that is more resilient in the face of the coronavirus pandemic, for the safeguarding of our heritage, and for the protection of nature, a guarantee of social justice and peace in the world.
I assure you, Your Excellency, of my determination to accompany you in your mission, in particular that which you have assigned yourself in your new mandate, namely :
- The ethics of artificial intelligence,
- Open sciences,
- Priority Africa,
- Gender equality.
It is in this sense, Your Excellency, that I see my mission and my action with UNESCO, and I reaffirm Côte d'Ivoire's commitment to the Institution.

SEMme BAKAYOKO-LY Ramata
