Taking part in the 219th session of UNESCO's Executive Board at the institution's headquarters in Paris, H.E. Ms Bakayoko-Ly Ramata, Ambassador and Permanent Delegate of Côte d'Ivoire to UNESCO, took part in the general debate.

Her speech focused on the "Concorde pour l'Adhésion Nationale" (CAN) neighborhood initiative, aimed at promoting peace through sport, underlining the universal role of sport in education, socio-economic development and social cohesion. This unprecedented initiative, co-constructed with UNESCO alongside the "CAN de l'hospitalité", was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate hospitality, solidarity and friendship between peoples. It was even marked by the presence of the Director of UNESCO.

She then spoke about the implementation of the Recommendation on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence in Côte d'Ivoire, detailing the actions undertaken under the leadership of the UNESCO Chair in Bioethics at Alassane Ouattara University, including public conferences and international seminars that have led to the creation of training modules.

Finally, the Ambassador spoke of the reform of the education system in Côte d'Ivoire, through the Etats Généraux de l'Éducation et de l'Alphabétisation (EGENA), which led to the implementation of levers for transforming the education system, notably the digitization of the education system and the introduction of a language policy based on multilingualism. Finally, she welcomed UNESCO's support in this process, and called for the sharing of experiences between countries.
